Golf & Gizmos was created to share experiences playing golf courses around the world, and to offer golf merchandise that's hard to find online.

The Golf

I'm an average (11-handicap) golfer living in Bend, Oregon. Like many golfers, I got hooked on golf during COVID. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to play an amazing array of courses. Many of these courses are in or near my home in Central Oregon – which happens to be a haven for golf – but I try to travel as much as possible to review courses around the country and, less frequently, the world.

I created this site to share my experiences so I can help other golfers decide what courses to play and what trips to plan.

Reviewing a golf course is extremely subjective, but I've tried to break it down with a rating system. You can read more about how I determine course ratings here.

The Gizmos

So why "Gizmos"?

 

I can't count how many times I've gotten back from a golf trip and wish I had access to merchandise from those courses. Now, I purchase extra merchandise from golf clubs – the stuff that you can't normally find online – and sell it online for other passionate golfers to enjoy. I currently sell merchandise on eBay, but I plan to sell directly on this site if it builds up enough traffic.
